As most people already know, plastic pollution is a major threat to our planet, especially for oceans. It has also a negative impact on wildlife health and eventually humans beings.

Plastic is useful but dangerous, and we produce roughly 300 million tons of plastic each year and more than half is disposable! Worldwide only 10-13% of plastic items are recycled. The characteristic of petroleum-based disposable plastic makes it hard to recycle, and they have to add renewed pure constituents and chemicals to do so. Additionally, there are a limited number of items that recycled plastic can be used.

Petroleum-based plastic is not biodegradable and usually goes into a landfill where it is buried or it gets into the water and finds its way into the ocean. Although plastic will not biodegrade, it will degrade into tiny particles after many years. In the process of breaking down, it releases such as bisphenol A and substances which are known as polystyrene-based (PS) oligomers, which are not found naturally and which make their way into our food and water supply.

We are changing our scenic oceans into plastic broths. Plastic accumulating in our oceans and on our beaches has become a worldwide catastrophe

Our Oceans

Billions of pounds of plastic can be found in twirling unions that create about 40 percent of the world's ocean surfaces. About 8 million tons of plastic gets in the sea each year, and at this proportion, we look at the future with extra plastic in the ocean than fish by 2050.

Every year, 1 million sea birds and 100,000 marine animals die from eating plastics.

Reuse and Dissolve Revolution

In response to this worldwide environmental calamity, a rising movement; the Reuse and Dissolve Revolution from Green Ocean Group company; is already finding real and innovative solutions focused on reusing and dissolving sustainable materials instead of throwaway plastics. Communities, progressive businesses, and local governments are stepping up with solutions centered on reduction, reuse, and dissolving. There are zero-waste cities, water refill stations at more airports and other public places, and even discounts at some stores for bringing our own bags and at coffee shops for bringing our own reusable mug. There are markets full of plastic-free produce and grains that have been around for decades, and new zero-waste shops are bursting up around the world.

The answer is not to avoid bags and packaging wherever we can, that is not going to work across the board.

"Many scientists are working on biodegradable, compostable, and water-soluble products that can be replaced with plastic products, and such products are available now, especially water-soluble & compostable film which can be dissolved with water within minutes, leaving zero-waste and releasing H2O + CO2"

Thanks to pressure from loads of people, corporations are finally confessing they helped create this crisis. Some of them are even making commitments they say will help resolve it. But so far, businesses are mostly pushing wrong “solutions”; converting to other throwaway materials like paper or bioplastic, depending more heavily on the already broken recycling system, even investing in harmful chemical recycling and incineration; to justify their dependence on single-use packaging. These substitutes will only go on to damage the environment. Industry’s narrative around individual accountability and false resolutions are approaching to an end.

The only way forward for them is to join campaigns like Reuse and Dissolve Revolution. And those that don’t will become progressively irrelevant in a world where people aren’t eager to sacrifice a livable planet for the delusion of ‘suitability.’

The one way we’re really going to resolve this catastrophe is by demanding that companies reduce their plastic footprints, move away from the throwaway commercial model, and start capitalizing in refill, reuse and dissolve as the way toward a sustainable future.

Green Ocean Group Bags

Green Ocean Group packaging products are not plastic and are made up of non-toxic material. These are certified compostable products from Europe, the United States, and Japan. These are harmless materials to marine life even if they get to the ocean. You can reuse them for at least 2 years in good storage conditions. These products will replace single-use plastics bags and some plastic packaging films not only in Australia but all over the world. With this, we will be able to reduce plastic waste as much as possible.

Plastic causes serious damage to the environment both during its production and disposal, so its production is very energy-intensive and during production emission of greenhouse gases occurs, which contributes to global climate change. But in comparison, the production of Green Ocean Group products is less energy-intensive, is made up of natural resources and is highly sustainable.

The time it takes for water-soluble and compostable products to biodegrade is also significantly less than that of plastics.

As a result, the landfills wouldn’t contain as much of an overwhelming amount of plastics. The organic materials of the biomass in the chemical makeup of these products produce much less carbon emissions. This can benefit society as a whole while playing a role in our everyday lives. Compostable products can be dissolved in water and converted back to natural elements and nutrients.

GOG Bags

Water-soluble and compostable retail, healthcare, chemical bags; are affordable and non-toxic. They can be dissolved in cold, warm, and hot water for their disposal. They are a real alternative to plastic bags, which are made of polythene, cause pollution all its life — from manufacturing to disposal. Its production uses up 8% of our oil resources. Their manufacturing process is harmful to the environment and remains toxic to the environment after you throw them away. But in comparison, these water-soluble bags are really beneficial as they dissolve in hot water and don’t contribute to pollution. Also, they help reduce climate change because their manufacturing doesn’t need many resources and considerably fewer greenhouse gases are released in their manufacture.

But it is not recommended using the bags on rainy days because with cold water the bags can stretch.

GOG Packaging Film

It is a water-soluble retail packaging film. It can be used instead of the plastic film and it can be really effective in reducing plastic pollution, as it produces zero waste! So, why contributing to plastic pollution when you can have a better substitute?

The effects of waste disposal on climate change is becoming an increasing threat to our global community. Many waste treatments, such as combustion and landfilling, contribute to the excess amount of greenhouse gas emissions in the Earth’s atmosphere. But by using Green Ocean Group products, we can actively seek to minimize climate change. We can make efficient use of our natural resources, encouraging sustainable production and consumption. By Reuse and Dissolve Revolution (#reusedissolverevolution), we can enable a lifestyle that minimizes negative environmental impact and enhances positive impacts.

Let's take a step up for sustainable development and help make our planet environmentally sound!
